Please read the policy on items damaged in shipping
Our products, except extra heavy items, are shipped within 3 business days using ground delivery. Transit time is variable, but could add another week to the actual delivery date. Extra heavy items may take one or two weeks to ship and another week for delivery. Extra heavy items are the high capacity whole house water filters and the water softeners.
You may cancel an order if the order has not been shipped. Contact info@purewaterabode.com if you need to cancel. Your item may have been shipped before 3 days of receiving your order.
All of our products have an unconditional 30 day 100% money - back guarantee -- your return authorization must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. If the return is for some reason other than a defective product, you will need to pay for return shipping. In any case, you will also need to email info@purewaterabode.com for a return authorization. We will ask the reason for the return, but this is only to improve our service and products. The money -back guarantee is unconditional! Refunds on merchandise damaged in transit are conditional on the purchaser filing the claim with the carrier as we have to recover damages from the carrier.
You are responsible to report claims on merchandise damaged in shipping to the carrier within 5 days of receipt, or even better, to refuse delivery on damaged items.
POLICY ON ITEMS DAMAGED IN SHIPPING:
All Carriers have statistics showing a percentage of packages may be damaged during transit. We have been fortunate to have had fewer than expected percentages of damaged items. When and if damaged merchandise arrives to you, you must take the following steps to avoid claim delays or denial:
1) Inspect the merchandise before signing the driver's release. If the merchandise appears to be damaged, please refuse the delivery and make sure the driver notes that the refusal is due to shipping damage. Do not sign or accept the delivery. By signing the release, you are accepting the goods in their current condition.
2) If you accept the delivery and later on realize that the merchandise has been damaged, keep the original shipping cartons, packaging materials, and content, contact the carrier, and request pick-up and return to us for replacement. Also, file a claim with the carrier immediately.
3) Please inspect the merchandise upon arrival and report the damage to the carrier to avoid denial or delay of claim. All claims for shipping damages must be made within five (5) business days from delivery.
4) Refunds for damaged merchandise are based on us recovering the damages claim with the shipper. Therefore, you are responsible to file a claim with the carrier. Failure to do so will make it impossible for us to issue a refund.
This is standard policy. You should use the same procedure with any other purchases, even if not explicitly stated.
International customers please be aware that the shipping does not include customs, VAT (Value Added Tax), and possible "dumping" taxes. I do not know all of the possible charges conjured up by every nation, but the total costs could be in the vicinity of 15 - 20% of the cost (including the shipping charges).
