The new Kenrico EX showerhead replaces the ION showerhead with two separate shower filters -- a handheld unit and a wall mounted unit..  

This filter also produces negative ions -- the  Kenrico Ion Shower Head EX ® can produce a negative ions count of 25100 ion/cc up to 49150 ion/cc.   

Once the negative ions  reach the bloodstream, they produce a biochemical reaction that increases the levels of serotonin.  Serotonin helps to relieve stress (calming), alleviate depression, boost our daytime energy and increase defense against infection.

Water Filtration

The filtration part of the showerhead is accomplished with a unique combination of  natural quartz, citrine crystals and rare Japanese hot spring minerals 

Contaminants are removed by the reduction capacity of the rare quartz and citrine crystals while  the hot spring minerals promote the health of the scalp and skin.

Kenrico Ion Shower Head EX ® binds the organic atoms into other atoms or other small molecules before their removal. 

The filtration process  is made up of four porous ceramic particles,  consisting  of natural quartz, citrine crystals, red and gray ceramics. 

The red ceramics are used for water purification (a reduction, antibacterial and deodorizing process). The gray ceramics are used for negative ion emission and involved with the de-chlorination of water.

With the addition of natural quartz and citrine crystals, chlorine is reduced to chloride ion by the addition of electrons.  

Chlorine gas from water treatment processes [ Cl2(gas)]  dissolves in water to form a hydrolysis product of [Cl2(aqueous)]. The ceramics in the Kenrico Ion Shower Head EX ® breaks the chlorine in the water into the chloride ion. Then the chloride ion (Cl-) that was converted from the molecule of chlorine (Cl2) attracts and surrounds itself with water molecules creating a safe barrier against skin contact. Chloride ion is present in water if  table salt is dissolved into the water.  Chloride ions are therefore both commonplace and entirely safe.  

The  water stream is a combination of Far Infared rays, negative ions, and hot spring minerals.

THE SHOWER EXPERIENCE

The shower experience is made by streams of water from over seventy super size water jets.  You can choose the type of water jets that please you the most by simply turning the dial.

The showerhead itself is  transparent . 

You receive both a handheld and a fixed shower filter. The fixed shower filter is attached onto the shower pipe.  The hose for the handheld model is not included.
