KX-2 is a first grade sap sheet with 0.75 grams of Tourmaline and 0.25 grams of Amethyst. It is a "stronger" version of the TRMX-2 pads, with more wood and bamboo vinegar, more loquat leaf and more Dokudami: Houttuynia Cordata.  There is less "stone powder" than the TRMX-2, but the special properties of Amethyst and tourmaline together make this pad a "stronger" pad than the TRMX-2, with almost twice the far infared and negative ion emissions.

TRMX-2 detox pads are the general purpose detoxification pads.  The other pads are "specialty".  At the base of all detox foot pads are wood vinegar and bamboo vinegar.  Wood vinegar is known to be able to improve  blood circulation, which can lead to improvement from fatigue, headache, double vision, blood pressure arthritis and many other similar symptoms.  Bamboo vinegar is said to have double the effect of wood vinegar, but due to its rarity, the bamboo vinegar costs almost twice as much as wood vinegar.  All of the sap sheet varieties also contain some quantities of loquat leaf, and  dokudami:  Houttuynia Cordata.  Most also contain  Chitosan,  Vitamin C, Vegetable fiber and Dextrin.  

Loquat Leaf is a "muxibustion" herb.  It has been crowned the king of all herbal medicines in India.  Loquat leaf contains malic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, tannate, carotene, vitamins A, B, and C.  Its leaves and kernel contain amygdalin, otherwise known as vitamin B17, or laetrile.  It is known because of its ability to promote the secretion of body fluids, and it also has antitusive, expectorant, and antiemetic properties.

Dokudami: (Houttuynia Cordata) is native to Japan, Java and Nepal at altitudes over 6,200 feet.  It has been proven to contain a variety of flavoids, flavonoid glycosides, and pyridine alkaloids.  Its essential oil has been found to consist mainly of decanal, dodecanal, and 2-hendecanon.  It has been recognized for generations for its strong adsorption properties.

Chitosan has been used for over 30 years by water companies to trap toxins, grease, heavy metals, and oils.  Chitosan products are also used extensively by the medial profession due to its ability to promote wound healing, such as burns and skin inflammation.    Extensive studies have also been carried out to determine that it can lower LDL cholesterol by 6% and enhance HDL cholesterol by 10%.  It has also been successfully marketed as a weight loss supplement.

Vitamin C:  So much has been written about vitamin C and it is so well known, that I will let the reader investigate its properties.

Vegetable fiber from corn is used to prolong the lifetime of the sap sheet.  Its fiber prevents ingredients from hardening due to humidity.

Dextrin is also produced from corn (flour), and it is necessary in a sap sheet only as a filler and to bind other ingredients together.  Without some dextrin, the sap sheets will not function, but great amounts are not necessary.

KX-2 In the most general terms, the KX-2 pads have a mixture of tourmaline and amethyst, with a higher percentage of wood and bamboo vinegars..  In ancient times,  amethyst was said to be "proof against poison".  Amethyst like tourmaline, is  a "negative ion" source, which exerts a cleansing and liberating energy upon our entire nervous system with a clearing and stabilizing effect.  Amethyst is also said to be a stone of sobriety, and can help the user become free of addictive tendencies.  The KX-2 pads also have more loquat leaf and more Dokudami: Houttuynia Cordada.  The synergistic effect of tourmaline and amethyst results in the KX-2 producing more negative ions and far infared red rays than the TRMX-2 pads (tourmaline alone).  Briefly stated, the KX-2 is a "stronger" version of TRMX-2.

WRX-2 - Developed specifically for the improvement of diabetes, heart and liver diseases.

CC (Green Tea) The CC edition (green tea) has been found to be useful in reducing cholesterol (LDL-TRIG_clinicalstudy) and in inhibiting the spread of cancer. (http://www.cancer.gov/newscenter/pressreleases/tea).  

In a controlled study conducted at the Research Testing Laboratories in New York, these green tea pads were tested for their effectiveness in reducing LDL-cholesterol levels and triglycerides. Men and women (between the ages of 18 and 65 years old) were tested with Body Mass Indexes (BMI) that ranged between 25.0 and 39.9. Before the test, each person fasted for 10 to 12 hours and a blood sample was drawn for CBC and chemistry profiling. Body weight was recorded and each person's height and BMI was calculated.

Each participant was instructed to wear four detox pads per day (one pad on the bottom of each foot for 7-9 hours during the day, and one pad on the bottom of each foot for 7-9 hours during sleep at night). After two weeks of daily application, another fasting blood sample was drawn. The results of the clinical trial showed evidence that the green tea detox pads significantly reduced LDL-cholesterol levels and triglycerides.

One participant was a 45-year-old female who showed a 22 mg/dl decrease in LDL cholesterol and a 37 mg/dl decrease in Triglycerides in just two weeks. Think about the implication of these findings.

TG-1 (enhanced Grapefruit).  These pads are to be used for substantial weight loss and for aromatherapy. QU-1 (quick edition with Milk Thistle)  Milk Thistle is used to support the liver.  The liver has a major part to play in detoxification, and the liver can be harmed if there are great amounts of toxins it has to deal with.  Thus, it is a good idea to support the liver while detoxifying.  According to a government site on alternative therapies:  http://nccam.nih.gov/health/milkthistle/ , Milk thistle is believed to have protective effects on the liver and improve its function. It is typically used to treat liver cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis (liver inflammation), and gallbladder disorders. Treatment claims also include:

• Lowering cholesterol levels
• Reducing insulin resistance in people with type 2 diabetes who also have cirrhosis
• Reducing the growth of cancer cells in breast, cervical, and prostate cancers

This pad also contains as much cayenne as the EXA-2 (enhanced red pepper pads), and some tourmaline. Thus, many of the active ingredients of other pads are present in this one (combined into one pad).  I am guessing that this is why Kenrico named this edition "quick" (as in one pad does it all).  

AG - (Silver Edition)  Kenrico has recommended this pad for low immune system, diabetes, allergies, lupus, and acne among others.  The Oxford Press file  Agaricus Blazei Murrill.pdf discusses its anti-cancer properties at length, but the article is quite technical (and, admittedly, beyond my ability to understand).

Historical or traditional use:

The potent, hot fruit of cayenne has been used as medicine for centuries. It was considered helpful for various conditions:

• Gastrointestinal tract: including stomachaches, cramping pains, and gas.
• Diseases of the circulatory system: It is still traditionally used in herbal medicine as a circulatory tonic (a substance believed to improve circulation).
• Rheumatic and arthritic pains: Rubbed on the skin it causes a counterirritant effect. A counterirritant is something which causes irritation to the area to which it is applied. This makes it distract the nerves from the original irritation (such as joint pain in the case of arthritis).
• Sore throat: If gargled with water it can work as an effective treatment for sore throats.

FX-2 (blue edition).  Kenrico recommends this pad for the antiseptic properties of the wood and bamboo vinegars.  Thus, it is recommended for candidia, foot odor, parasites, restless leg syndrome and yeast/mold conditions.

Summary

Thus, very briefly, the QU-1 pad supports the liver; the EXA-2i pad supports the circulatory system; the WRX-2i is useful in diabetes, heart and liver disease; CC-i (Green tea) is used for lowering cholesterol and triglycerides;  the TG-1-i (Grapefruit) pad is for substantial weight loss; The AG-i pad is useful for boosting the immune system when it is under active and moderating overactive immune responses (lupus, diabetes (type 1), allergies, etc);  the FX-2 is used for antiseptic properties which makes it useful against foot odor, candidia, yeast, mold and parasites. The TRMX-2 is a general purpose detoxifier with beneficial effects on the brain waves and the KX-2 is  stronger than TRMX-2  on the negative ions and far infared rays that makes the TRMX-2 so powerful.  

How to Use  -- The sap sheet comes with a larger adhesive pad.  The adhesive pad is covered with two sections of paper.  Remove the larger bottom section of paper, and put the foil side of the sap sheet down on the adhesive, centering it, and with the top next to the smaller strip of paper still covering the adhesive.  Next, remove the smaller strip of paper, and the sap pad will be centered on the adhesive pad.  Just attach the adhesive to the soles of your feet, or anywhere else you may wish.  If you wish to stimulate certain reflex points on the bottom of the feet, then put the pad over these points.  Here is a reflexology chart of the foot.

It is easiest to apply the sap sheet, one on each foot, before bed.  You can also put the pads directly on any other part of the body to relieve problems such as muscle and joint pain, or directly over rashes.  Do not apply directly to mucous membranes or open wounds.  The best detoxification effects occur on the bottom of the foot, however.
