Whole House water systems are available in 10" and 20" replaceable cartridge systems, and High capacity 90 lb. 48" high models that last 500,000,  750,000 or 1,000,000 gallons.  Additionally, these high capacity systems are available as self-backwashing units.  These whole house water filters utilize the Crystal Quest 5 stage KDF/GAC filtration system that removes hundreds of contaminants. KDF is effective against lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, cadmium, aluminum, and other dissolved metals , and the GAC is effective against chlorine, THM's, benzene) pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, volatile organic compounds (VOCs),  PCB's, MTBE's and hundreds of other chemical contaminants that may be present in water.   Whole house water filters have a higher flow rate to accommodate things like laundry, bathing, and dishwashing.   Molecules from chlorine and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can evaporate  into the air from any water in the house, such as laundry and bathing -- even if you are not drinking the water.   10" whole house filters start as low as $149.00 -- about as much as some of the point of use filters.  Whole house filters are in line filters that have to be plumbed into the water lines.

Single Cartridge Replaceable Whole House Water  Filters are available in 10" plastic and stainless steel housing and in 20" white plastic housing.  They use the Crystal Quest 5 stage KDF/GAC replaceable cartridge.  The 10" models have a cartridge life of  50,000 gallons and the 20" model has a cartridge life of 100,000 gallons.  Great for homes, apartments or office use.

High Capacity Whole House Water Filters have a flow rate of 6 to 8 gallons per minute, are 48" tall with a 9" diameter, and weigh 90 lbs.  These whole house water filters are available in 500,000,  750,000, and 1,000,000 gallon capacities.  The filter has the same KDF®55, KDF®85 and GAC combination of filter media that combines the ability of KDF to remove metals and GAC to remove hundreds of organic contaminants.  KDF is a bacteriostatic media:  bacterial growth is inhibited.  KDF also enhances the effectiveness of GAC.  Smaller sediment pre-filter and GAC post filter cartridges should be replaced more frequently.   Shipping weight approximately 120 lbs.  Delivery can take longer for extra heavy items.

Self Backwashing High Capacity Whole House Water Filters are a self-backwashing system that automatically removes the trapped contaminants within the filter bed and washes them down the drain.  This is accomplished with the electronic control valve that is mounted on top of the system.  This valve is controlled by a timer.  Crystal Quest uses  the industry-leading Fleck control valves that, on a regular interval, initiates the backwash cycle that cleans the bed of filtration media and resets itself for the next period of filtration.  These whole house water filters have a flow rate of 6 to 8 gallons per minute, are 48" tall with a 9" diameter, and weigh 95 lbs.  These whole house water filters are available in 500,000,  750,000, and 1,000,000 gallon capacities.  The filter has the same KDF®55, KDF®85 and GAC combination of filter media that combines the ability of KDF to remove metals and GAC to remove hundreds of organic contaminants.  KDF is a bacteriostatic media:  bacterial growth is inhibited.  KDF also enhances the effectiveness of GAC.  Smaller sediment pre-filter and GAC post filter cartridges should be replaced more frequently.   In line connectors and 3/4" gate valves are included.  It is an easy installation for a qualified/licensed plumber (recommended).   Shipping weight approximately 120 lbs.
