KDF®-55 media is especially effective in removing metals such as Chlorine, Lead, Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Chromium, Selenium, Mercury, Iron and other metals. Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) removes chlorine, THMs, PCBs and hundreds of other organic contaminants.

The new 5 stage filters add a layer of KDF®85, are 1 1/2" taller and weigh more.  

KDF®85 is particularly good at removing  iron and hydrogen sulfide. The KDF redox media alloys function as catalysts to change soluble ferrous cations (positively-charged ions) into insoluble ferric hydroxide, which can be removed with regular backwashing. With enough oxygen dissolved in the water, iron removal rates of 98 percent or better are common.  KDF process media also  reduce hydrogen sulfide to insoluble cupric sulfide, which can be removed by backwashing.

A washable sediment pre-filter is also suitable for the  sealed models. This keeps sediment from clogging the main unit. Inside is a fine stainless steel filter and an FDA 4 micron filter that are easy to keep clean. 

Countertop Series

Unit is very simple to hook up and use. It  installs in minutes without tools on all standard faucets. 1. Remove old faucet aerator. 2. Install the diverter valve/aerator.

Semi-annual backwashing not only ensures balanced filtration and eliminates the potential for channeling, but also back-flushes the unit.

A diverter valve near the aerator switches between filtered and unfiltered water.

Flow rate is 0.75 to 1 gallon per minute.

Refrigerator Series

Easy installation w/quick connect fittings. Installs to appliance directly In-line.

The 5-stage refrigerator model is horizontal, on 4 feet, with high-pressure quick connect fittings that can be used on either the 1/4" O.D. copper or plastic tubing

The undersink replaceable cartridge water filters have a Refrigerator/Ice-maker hookup that can be installed in line to add a refrigerator line to the undersink model (it is like a "T").  This greatly expands the possibilities for refrigerator filters, as the multi-cartridge units come with a sediment cartridge on the double and triple cartridge models and a solid carbon block cartridge post KDF/GAC on the triple cartridge models.

Pre-filter comes with the 4 stage sediment filters and can be added to the sealed 4 or 5 stage water filters.   This pre-filter helps remove the sediment thus enabling your filter to work more efficiently.
